Faith Comes Through for Rockies at Faith Day

35 EPC Fans Witness 17-7 Win for Rockies
and Great Concert by Michael W. Smith

Behind an emphatic 10-run third inning, the Rockies cruised to a 17-7 win and a series victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Faith Day, July 26th. With five home runs in all, two by Ben Paulsen, the Rocks made it a great day for Christians from all over the Rocky Mountain West.

Following the game, strong testimonies by Rockies catcher Michael McKenry and pitching coach Steve Foster added to the thrill. Then came the concert by contemporary Christian music legend, Michael W. Smith. A large percentage of the crowd of 48,000 stayed to listen. And they weren't disappointed!

Smith, whose musical career has spanned three decades, has won three Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and 40 Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association. He has  29 No. 1 Hit songs, 14 gold albums and five platinum albums. His song "Friends" was named the No. 1 Song of All Time by CCM Magazine. His song "Healing Rain" is also an all-time favorite of many.

Great things happen at Faith Day. Join us next year!

Don Francisco to Bring Gospel Alive at EPC

Don Francisco, in Concert

with Wendy Francisco and Mike Banta

Saturday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.

Come hear gospel singer-songwriter Don Francisco bring Scripture alive as he and his wife Wendy, also a recording artist, and guitarist Mike Banta perform in concert at Elizabeth Presbyterian Church May 30.

Perhaps best known for "He's Alive" which won GMA Song of the Year in 1980, Francisco's
music has always focused on the forgiveness of a loving God. He is known worldwide for his ballads written from the point of view of Bible characters who were surprised by God's grace. "He's Alive" is written from the point of view of Peter just after the crucifixion of Jesus.

Don is one of the pioneers of contemporary Christian music, having begun his recording career in the 70s. He has traveled worldwide and still writes and records in his own "Heart Rock Studios" here in Colorado.

And, of course, many of you know Mike Banta. EPC is blessed to have Mike and his wife Pam playing in our praise band at the 10:30 service on Sundays. Mike accompanies Don in concert around the country and the world.
