This Summer at EPC

Memorial Day signals the beginning of summer. And that means there's a lot going on.

Already, Vacation Bible School (June 2 - 6) has come and gone, helping some 25 children get to know Jesus a little better. The children rode the EPC VBS "float" in the Elizabeth Stampede parade on the Saturday following VBS.

At the ElizaBash Street Festival following the parade, EPC volunteers greeted the crowds, handed out bottled water, prayer rocks and brochures, and generally enjoyed being a part of Elizabeth community.

Summer also means some things WON'T be going on.

The following activities are suspended for the summer:

  • Saturday Evening Prayer and Communion Services
  • Traditional Choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings
  • NEW Neighborhood Bible Studies on Wednesday mornings

Exciting things coming up.

Sunday June 29 - Combined Worship and All-Church Picnic. The 29th is a "fifth Sunday" so there will be only one worship service for everybody at 10:00 am. Right after the service comes the annual church picnic. Everybody is invited! Meat and beverages provided, bring a side dish or dessert.

July 27 - August 2 - Navajo Mission Trip. We still have spots open for students and parents. For more info, scroll down to story below (March 14). Come join us.

Sunday, August 24 - Faith Day at the Rockies with Jeremy Camp. 30 EPC-ers will be hanging out at Coors Field starting at 2 pm as the Rockies take on the Florida Marlins followed by a concert by Christian rocker, Jeremy Camp.

Keep your eyes on the EPC News and Notes for fun youth events and small-group fellowship events for adults as the summer goes on.

And as always on Sundays we'll be gathering at 8:30 for traditional worship and 10:30 for contemporary worship. As the writer to the Hebrews says, "Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and nurture each other, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." See you Sunday.
