Advent Season at EPC

It's time to start preparing our hearts for Christmas!

At EPC the four weeks of Advent are a very special time,
and we have many things going on to help us prepare our hearts
to celebrate the birth of our Wonderful Counselor,
Almighty God, Everlasting Father, King of Kings.

A special Advent message series, "The Messiah" will be presented
Sundays Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 – at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
And Saturdays Dec. 6, 13 and 20 – at 5:30 p.m.

The EPC traditional choir will present "Appalachian Winter"
A Cantata for Christmas
by Joseph M. Martin
Sunday, December 21
at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

PatRussell will be leading a new, four-part
adult Sunday School class, studying "The Messiah"
to coordinate with the sermon series
Sundays Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 and 21 at 9:15
in the manse.

The existing adult Sunday School class at 10:15
will also study "The Messiah."

The youth will enjoy a special Advent Study, too...

Sundays Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 and 21 at 9:15 in the manse. Tom Olmos will lead the class and talk about why we celebrate Christmas. What's a mistletoe?"
Why do we do this stuff?

And the whole thing comes to a crescendo
on Christmas Eve,
Wednesday, December 24 at 4:00 p.m. (Traditional)
and 6:00 p.m. (Contemporary).

Following Christmas,
on Saturday December 27th, there will be
no Saturday Evening service.
And on Sunday, December 28th,
we'll have just one worship service
at 10:00 a.m. (no potluck).
